The oobleck lab was the first lab for chemistry and a lab to give us an understanding of what Andrews class was going to be like this semester. For this lab, we made something called oobleck. For this we got into table groups and mix cornstarch and water at a ratio at 1:1.75. I did this lab with Fehung,Trent,Darian,Nancy, and Alex. When we mixed the two ingredients together, we noticed that it was a liquid when it would just slide in between our fingers like any liquid would. After playing with it for a while, we also noticed that it also acted as a solid. When you were to move, squeeze, or punch the oobleck i wouldn't splash anywhere, but instead hardened which was confusing.
Looking back at the experiment, our experiment turned out well and the lab was a success. When we did that lab I really only had one question. "Why does it harden when you put pressure." After some thing I came to the conclusion that the reason I think It hardened, was because when you put pressure on the matter,it wasn't able to move.
Looking Inward, I did get the results I thought we would get. Reason for that was because we all worked together as a group and stayed focused on the experiment. I believe we worked well.
Looking Forward for next time, if I could do this again, I would pick the same group again because we all got results we wanted and I wouldn't change anything about that lab because I think we got good results.
