Q:Now that this project is complete, how do you feel about it? What things stand out?
A: Now that this project is complete, I feel good and satisfied with all the work that I did. Last year I talked in my POL about how I wanted to work more on group projects and how I barely did any work last year. This Semester I did my fair share of work and that is something that stands out.
Q:What, if any, science or technological things did you learn from doing this project? What is necessary to understand to build a successful rocket?
A: I learned a learned a lot about everything. The different types of powders to use and the difference between them and how they affect your performance. What different types of motors do and thrust and everything like that. It's necessary to understand all this to make a good rocket or your rocket will most likely fail.
Q:What, if any, metacognitive knowledge did you gain? (what did you learn about yourself as a learner - work habits, work ethic, tendencies, etc.)
A: I learned that I work well with specific people and I work well with great communication. That's what I messed up last year, I didn't have good communication with any of my partners which ended up with me now doing a lot of the work and messing up the project. I also learned that I work well under stress which can or can not be a good thing.
Q:How did you collaborate with others in this project? (Who did you work with? What did you contribute? How did you operate as a group or unit?)
A: For every single project this year in chemistry, I worked with Darian. I contributed an equal amount of work as Darian did. We had great communication and if he's in my class next semester i'd like to have him as a partner again.
Q:If you could do this project again, would you do anything differently? What advice would you give to the next class of rocketeers?
A: If I could do this project again I wouldn't change anything because I was satisfied with everything. If I could give any advice to the next class, I'd tell them to make sure to get their blog updated and not to wait till the last minute like me which was a mistake.
Q:Based on your responses above, what advice or suggestions would you give to Andrew to help him design a better rocket project
A: If I could give a suggestion to Andrew, it would be to add a little more chemistry because a lot of the project was mostly building. That's all I have for suggestions, overall I loved this class and our awesome teacher Andrew and I'm glad I learned a lot this semester.
